Joomla Version: 3.4.5
CSVI Version: CSVI Pro 6.4.2
Virtuemart Version: 3.0.12

Hi There.
This website has only just recently been updated from joomla 2.5 to 3.4.5. This old site had a version of CSVI Free and virtuemart which worked perfectly.

After updating, I went through and updated everything else (virtuemart, csvi pro) but when I try to import the same csv file we used on the old site, it does not work. I've attached the csv file I'm trying to upload. Just for clarity sake, the csvi virtuemart addon is also installed (version 6.4.2)

When I analyzed the file, all columns displayed correctly and it correctly gets the column headers. But when I'm going through the import process and get to the preview, only the columns "Description" and "Retail" are displayed. These are the template fields that I've set up:

Product Sku = PartNo
Product Name = Description
Product Stock = OnHand
Product Price = Retail

If I continue through the import process and start the import, it seems like its processing the file but then I get this under statistics:
Products Skipped 400
And then 400 lines of this under log:
1 Skipped Notice Missing required fields
Log file attached.

POSSIBLY NOT RELATED:
When I try to go to CSVI Pro maintenance page and select VirtueMart, I get an internal server error. I can access every other page fine though...

Any help is appreciated thank you!

Hello,

Please have a look at the Missing fields in CSVI tutorial. That should deal with your missing fields.

As for the internal server error, not related, but check with your host what the real error is. The 500 Internal Server Error document explains more on this error.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Rolandd, thanks for replying.
I couldn't finish the missing fields in CSVI tutorial as I ran into the server error 500 again.
I completely uninstalled CSVI and reinstalled it which has fixed the server 500 issue.

After that, I created a new template with the same fields. When I tried to go through the import process I got this error at the preview screen "No supported fields have been found in the import file"

I analyzed the file using CSVI and all fields show up correctly with the right information.

I went through the missing fields tutorial again but this has not fixed the issue.
I tried to create a template using the template mapper, but I get this SQL error :

"Error
Unknown column 'm.auto_detect_delimiters' in 'field list' SQL=SELECT `m`.`action`,`m`.`component`,`m`.`operation`,`m`.`auto_detect_delimiters`,`m`.`field_delimiter`,`m`.`text_enclosure` FROM `k2zl5_csvi_maps` AS `m` WHERE `m`.`csvi_map_id` = 2"

I don't know if this error is related or not but I thought I might as well share.

Hello,
I dont see any error with the CSV file you have posted, I can import it without a problem here.

Can you follow these steps again?
Go to CSVI Pro -> Maintenance -> Tasks and click Reset and confirm.
After that go to CSVI Pro -> Maintenance -> Available Fields and click Update.

See if this solves your issue.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna, thanks for replying.

I tried that again, but got the same result. I tried to rearrange the fields (swapped product name for product sku) but it just skipped the new sku column and loaded the old one in as the product name in the preview. So it wont load a column in as product_sku no matter what I do, or the stock.

I changed the PartNo column to import as product_desc and it now displays in the preview, but I really need it to import as an sku. Any ideas?

Hello,

The database error happens because the database layout is incomplete. You can go to the About page and see if it says your database has issues and click the Fix button. If there are no problems detected, you better start clean by following the Uninstall CSVI steps. After that do new install of CSVI and the CSVI VirtueMart addon.

After the clean install you should be able to use the Field mapper to create your template. If you set it up like you said before:
Product Sku = PartNo
Product Name = Description
Product Stock = OnHand
Product Price = Retail

you should be good to go and the part number can be used as SKU.
Kind regards,

RolandD
