Hi Guys

J: 3.8.2 VM: 3.2.4 CSViPro: 7.3.0

I also have this error since updating to J3.8.2

I see this url: administrator/index.php?option=com_csvi&task=importpreview.preview&runId=27 after selecting the file.

Followed by the error: No run ID has been found. This means that CSVI was not able to initialise the import or that the processes table is not available.

The URL now shows a different runID:
administrator/index.php?option=com_csvi&view=logdetails&run_id=34&return=xxxxx

Hope you can advise

regards
Eliot

Hello Eliot,

I really wonder why you see this error when you actually have a runId in the URL. Is this error only with CSVI component? I ask this because if there is any setting in your .htaccess file which is ignoring the query string in the URL. Can you check if other component views work for you? Like go to Components >> Contacts >> Edit a contact. does that work? Also did the CSVI import work with your previous Joomla version?

The URL now shows a different runID:
administrator/index.php?option=com_csvi&view=logdetails&run_id=34&return=xxxxx

When do you see this URL, after your import? Every time a import is initialised a new run id is generated. Did you try to start few number of imports?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna

Other components are working. I cannot guarantee it was the upgrade to 3.8.3 it might have been something else. It was working with 3.8.1. I've got imports that show it working.

I see this when the import fails:

The URL now shows a different runID:
administrator/index.php?option=com_csvi&view=logdetails&run_id=34&return=xxxxx

I've attached the htaccess file.

I have tried this a lot of times. Everytime I get the error

No run ID has been found. This means that CSVI was not able to initialise the import or that the processes table is not available.

Hope you can help

Eliot

Are you saying that there are other imports which are still working and the problem is only one import or is it that none of your imports are working with Joomla 3.8.3? If its only one import, can you send me the template XML file to check? To get the template XML file go to CSVI maintenance menu, select CSVI Pro in first option and Backup templates in second option. Select the import template and click continue. Post the downloaded XML file here.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Eliot,

I have been reading through this thread and trying to get an idea of what you see happening. From what I gather you select the template, then choose the file to import and instead of seeing the preview you get the error correct?

The error basically means that CSVI is asking Joomla what the run ID is as seen in the URL and it returns no value. This causes the script to stop. So I ran the template and file you posted and that went fine. Not very surprising because the issue is not with the template or the import file.

Can you run the update available fields? Does that work? You don't have any 3rd party extensions installed that would do something with the URLs or backend access?
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi RolandD

I ran update available fields, then ran the import after still the same error.

There are no special extensions installed that alter the URL.

Whats strange is that this all worked previously.

Hello Eliot,
I would also not believe that it could be Joomla update problem as we are running latest CSVI with the latest Joomla version and without any problem in our imports. What if you try to update CSVI package by running it again in Extension manager? Check if that helps. Make sure you have a backup of your site before running the update.

Also one more option is to try to create a test site with latest Joomla and install only CSVI and check if you see the same problem.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi RolandD

I ran Update Available fields, then ran the template again. I still get the following error:

Error
No run ID has been found. This means that CSVI was not able to initialise the import or that the processes table is not available.

Hope you can help. I have no third party templates modifying the backend URLs

Hello Eliot,
Did you try updating CSVI package as suggested in my previous post? Can you try creating a test site with only Joomla and CSVI installed and see if you still get this error on import?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Eliot,
Yes, make sure that you have no other component or plugin installed in your test site other than CSVI. This way we can confirm if it is not other extensions causing the error.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Eliot,
Ok then there must be some extension which is conflicting with CSVI in your live site, you need to check which is the one. One way to find this out is by disabling each plugin installed on your live site and run the import. This is something specific to your site and not an issue with CSVI.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna

My local site is an exact copy of the live site ... all the same extensions and plugins. So not sure where to start with this.

Hi Tharuna

One thing I do notice on the Live verison is that the 'last server response' part of the screen does not update like it does locally.

Check the PHP version running on your server. Also check if there is any firewall on your live site which is blocking CSVI.

What if you import only one record? Does your import work then?
Kind regards,

Hi Tharuna

No firewall.

5.6.32 Live - 5.6.25 Local

I have tried with one record and still the same result.

I then changed the template setting 'Use file for configuration' to No and retried the import. I still got the No Run ID error but it did update the stock. So I've now tried with 3 records and that also worked. However No Run ID error still shows.

A difference between the Live and Local site is that on the live site I deleted the italian language and all its tables. Would that have any affect on this ?

Use file for configuration setting is to tell CSVI not to use column header from import file but to use template fields added to template for import. Didn't your import work if 'Use file for configuration' set to Yes? Not sure if that really has any effect. Your import would have worked as you have a runId in your import URL but what is strange is the error you see. In your Joomla global configuration page and on Server tab, turn off Error reporting and check the import.

I don't think this would be the cause for the error. What is the language you have set for your import in your import template settings and on Options tab?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna

Error reporting is already set to None. Tried changing it to maximum then back to None and re-importing nothing changed.

'Use file for configuration' when set to No or Yes still the same error.

Language is set to 'English (United Kingdom)'

Is this something you could look at with backend access?

Eliot

Not sure if it would help but send me a private message of your site login details and ftp details. I will take a look at it.
