CSVI Pro 5.12
Joomla 3.3.3
VM2

I've tried to import products and just can't seem to get it to work. I figured it was a fault with my .csv file so I downloaded the Hammer example and can't even import that.

Also This is the error message

Oops something went wrong.

Let me try to show the warning below here. If nothing shows up then I didn't get any data, sometimes this is caused by faulty plugins.

Cancel the import and check if all settings are correct and try the import again. Status error: 500 Status message: Internal Server Error

Here's some of the error logs.

These ones are from my IP, however I'm not sure If they are when I tried to import. I've tried a number of times since and refreshed the server error log, but no errors from my IP have come up. There are however heaps of errors getting logged from other IP's all of them start with- "File does not exist: /home/hunterm/public_html..."

I've read everything I can find about it. I've stripped the import file back to just sku and name. Still no joy. I can export out just fine.
The guy that built the site uploaded the basics of my product list from a CSV file I gave him, but I need to change the units of measure on everything and add pictures etc.

Hello,

The problem is not in your file I think, but there is something else going on. The error you get
Status error: 500 Status message: Internal Server Error
is one generated by your server because something it didn't like. Unfortunately, the error only tells us something went wrong but I won't tell you what. The server log / server host should tell you the exact error.

The errors you see "File does not exist..." are issues of course but not the cause of the internal server error. You should see a Fatal error in the log, that will be the cause. Once we have the Fatal error, we know where to look for the root cause.

When you are importing your CSV file, I see you already have set the Auto-detect delimiters to No, so that is good. The log shows you are using CSVI Pro 5.12, any reason why you are not updating to version 5.19?
Kind regards,

RolandD

Thanks Rolandd, I hadn't upgraded because when I clicked on the install button it said I have the latest version, and I thought maybe the new version was somehow not compatable.
I upgraded this morning.....and ........YEEHAAA. I now have a hammer in my inventory.
Haha, thanks so much for your help.
