Hi !

A slightly off-beat question maybe but I can't see any sign it's been asked before.

I've migrated a website from Joomla 1.5 to 3.4.8, and the last bit is to install CSVI. On the old site there are a bunch of templates/exports that the current admins use to download Virtuemart order info etc. I've installed CSV Pro on the new site and I need to give the same functionality - is it possible to migrate these CSV templates over or do I need to work out what they all do and re-create them by hand ?

Any tips appreciated !

David

Hello David,
To convert CSVI 5 templates to CSVI 6 templates, You can try following the below steps. But please make sure you backup the site.

* Create a new test website of your old 1.5 site with CSVI installed.
* Update Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 3.4.8
* Update your CSVI to latest CSVI 6 version
* Run the backup templates option in CSVI 6 using Maintenance menu by selecting CSVI Pro in first option and Backup templates in second option on the new test site
* You will get an XML file of the template
* Restore the templates into your new site using same Maintenance menu by selecting CSVI Pro in first option and Restore templates in second option.
Don't worry if you see any errors, all that is needed on this test site is to make CSVI working so we get the templates in CSVI 6 XML format.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
