Hello again :)

I followed these steps: https://www.csvimproved.com/support/import/203-virtuemart/868-import-icecat-product-information

After adding "local-infile=1 "to /etc/mysql/my.cnf" (Debian8) - Under "[mysql]"

Restarted the server
After inserting my ICEcat credentials,
Went to Maintenance>CSVI Pro>Load ICEcat Indexes

Got an error on my end.

"Error
COM_CSVI_MAINTENANCE_ONBEFORE_EXECUTION_ERROR"

So I downloaded the icecat files and placed them locally and substituted it for the "index" and "manufacturer" URL under settings>ICEcat

Went to Maintenance>CSVI Pro>Load ICEcat Indexes and got the same error:

Error
COM_CSVI_MAINTENANCE_ONBEFORE_EXECUTION_ERROR

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

If you go to CSVI Pro -> Logs and check the Log details, what does it say there?
Kind regards,

Either click on the name CSVI Maintenance or check the box and click the button Details.

That is the debug log but I am asking for the regular log Details. Let me try to explain it
  1. Click on Components
  2. Click on CSVI Pro
  3. Click on Logs
  4. Click on CSVI Maintenance where the Action type says Load ICEcat indexes
  5. You are now on the details page of the log. What does it show there?
Kind regards,

RolandD

I`ve been doing just that. I repeated the processes after cleaning the cache the same thing happened as before. I took a screenshot of the error. So there are no results.

Hello,

The log details should look like the attached screenshot.

Now the error you get COM_CSVI_MAINTENANCE_ONBEFORE_EXECUTION_ERROR means that CSVI can't run the task you are requesting. To be more precise, the preparation for doing the ICEcat loading is where it goes wrong. The reason why it fails should be in the debug log, the one you posted last but there is nothing there which is strange.

There are several reasons this can fail
  1. CSVI cannot unpack the ICEcat index zip file
  2. CSVI cannot unpack the ICEcat manufacturer zip file
  3. There is no username or password filled in the Settings

You said, you have put the index and manufacturer file in the tmp/com_csvi folder yourself right? The files should be called icecat_supplier and icecat_index there is no extension on these files.

Under Settings -> ICEcat, you don't need to change the URLs because this is only used if CSVI needs to download the files from ICEcat. Have you put in a username and password there?
