I need to use the csvi but when i install to Joomla 3.4 it won't show on template creation selection component virtuemart and i have to select CSVI component and custom field.

I spend a lot time trying to import my csv file trying to use the custom fields but with no luck. I tried to install the previous version 5.21.2 (supported in php 5.3) but it won't install to joomla 3.4.

I could really use some help here. Thank you in advance

Removed manual the newer version from database and managed to install the older. I will check now if i can use the component.

Is it possible to use the newer vesrion without changing host provider and with 5.3 php or not?

Great tool. I found the answers searching the forum. I had to download and enable the virtuemart plugin.
Changed my language to template fields and fired it up.

Amazing to see that tool working as it should. I will test all functions but until now i thing everything works perfect to
joomla 3.4.4
php 5.3
virtuemart 3 (latest)

Glad to hear you are up and running.

I do have one question for you though, why do you run the newest version of Joomla and VirtueMart but a very very old version of PHP?
Kind regards,

My VPS uses the 5.3 php and i didn't try to upgrade cause i run other applications and sites there. I try to keep in mind the quote "if it ain't brake don't fix it" ;) . So if everything works fine why to get in troubles ?

Just be aware that the requirement for CSVI 6 is PHP 5.4, so if you run into troubles, you know that CSVI needs 5.4 or higher. Since it works for you as-is, you can leave it indeed.

I just don't understand why hosting companies offer a PHP version that is out-of-support for over 2 years, even PHP 5.4 is out of support by now :) It is almost like saying, the maximum requirement is Joomla 1.5 :P
Kind regards,

RolandD
