Hello. I'm testing custom fields and multi - variant I'm trying to import an CSV file with parent product and its derivatives in a single file and are introduced smoothly except the two custom fields that have called volume limit . The problem is that although the multi- variant field is created with its two variants , not filled with any data.

Hello,
In your template set "Enable logging" to Yes and run the import again. You will get the option of downloading the debug log at the end of import.

Tharuna

Good morning, the problem we found is that when we export products multivariate multivariate attributes are exported but then try to import the same file no matter virtuemart those attributes or values of derivatives or children.

Hello,
When we imported the file attached with your earlier message, import went fine. We need to track the issue, we could do that only with the debug log. Please attach it so we can find what is happening.

Also it would be of more help if you can attach screenshot of what you are doing and for the errors you see.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,

Thank you for the document to explain what you see. I have taken another look at your CSV file you posted in your first message and I noticed a problem with it. The field multi_variant_fields has spaces in it, you have "Volumen ~ Limite " while it should be "Volumen~Limite". That is the first change to make.

The names in your CSV file Volumen and Limite is not the same as the column headers I see in your document. There it is called Volumen de facturación and Límite siniestral. These names needs to match, otherwise CSVI can't match them.

Is it necessary for each product father create the same custom fields or can create one for a parent and use them for different products ?
Each parent you need to specify which custom fields to use.

Could you use the same fields for both import and export and serve me a csv file for the two templates?
Looking at the file you posted, you can use two templates (import/export) with the same file.

Fix the CSV file and run the import again but make sure you enable the logging in the template because I want you to post the debug log and the new CSV file you imported in case it doesn't work. So I can check what is happening.
Kind regards,

RolandD
