Hi,
I would to assign a shopper_group_name to every client with a bulk import.
I was thinking about this csv:
virtuemart_user_id;shopper_group_name;
14;VEN2|0184;
because the client 14 belongs to 2 different listing.
But CSVI failed with following error:
The fields user_id or email or address_type or address_type_name is missing
This would be an oparation that nedds to be done every day, because new customers are added and automatically needs to be assigned a shopper_group_name.
Do you have any idea?
thanks
Matteo
Hello Matteo,
The problem is that you are not using all the required fields for running a User info import. You need to add the address_type and address_type_name fields to your CSV file. The address_type is usually BT unless the user has multiple addresses and the address_type_name has a default value of -default-. Do check this to be sure by running an export first.
Kind regards,

Yes, I know.
But I would like not to overwrite the existing customer informations, but only the shopper_group_name.
If I add the required fields, but I leave them empty, will I cancel adress, email etc...?
It will not remove the existing data but if you want to feel comfortable you can import a 1-person record and see if you are happy with it.
Kind regards,
RolandD

Thanks,
yesterday I was trying some importing, with amazing results, and I think that CSVI it's a powerful stuff!!!
I use it since years, but when I go in production, it receals all the utility!
