Hi all,
I am trying to import multiple products according your guide (https://www.csvimproved.com/support/203-import/virtuemart/942-import-virtuemart-2-media-items)
Unfortunately I will see only one image...
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, Daniel

Hello Daniel,
For multiple media import, you need to use Virtuemart media import instead of product import routine. Kindly confirm if you are using the same.

Also, there is a small issue in your file, There is a space between your first image and semicolon.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna,
I confirm using Media @ Virtuemart to import images.
I deleted the space in the file but it will not work.
In my opinion the log file looks ok but I do not see these 3 images I uploaded in VM.
I attached the csv file, the log file and a screenshot that will show the missing images in VM products.
Any further idea?
Thanks, Daniel

Hello Daniel,
There are two things i could notice, one is that in template settings on Image tab, Automatic thumbnail creation is set to No and the other is that file_url_thumb seems to have wrong path. By default it has to be inside resized folder in csv file, So as per your file it has to be "resized/757017.jpg" for the first row. Try changing these and let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna,
The reson for that setting is that I have in my folder rezised already the correct (resized 150x150 images)
Ok, I changed from No to Yes the automatic thumbnail creation.
What happened now is that I can see all images in the backend now but in the frontend is everything gone...
I checked the files and all images in .../product/ are gone but they arre added in rezised.

Is there any solution for that?

If I replace all images in .../product/ the images will be back at the frontend. Exept the thumbs below...
This would be necessary to solve.

Thanks Daniel

Hello Daniel,
From the log i see that thumbnail path is same as the original file path. The difference between the original file and thumbnail is that the thumbnail is inside resized folder. So it would be like original image will be inside product folder and thumbnail inside product/resized/ which wont cause problem in both backend and frontend. To know more on this Please have look into Import Virtuemart images tutorial which explains about the path for file_url and file_url_thumb.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna,

If I do it according the instruction I have the main images from .../product/ correct renamed and copied in .../product/rezised/
The images will be shown in the frontend correct!
The problem is that no image at all is shown in the backend!
How can I handle that?
Thanks, Daniel

Hello Daniel,

Since you are not doing any resizing on the images, it would be best to use the full path of where the images are located. So in your case the file_url would be images/stories/virtuemart/product/757017.jpg and the file_url_thumb would be images/stories/virtuemart/product/resized/757017.jpg

Can you give that a try?
Kind regards,

RolandD
