Hi Roland
It is going further ... good success with your input.
Manufacturer Category and Manufacturer Import works!
Working on the rest now. Thx.

I've tried to import by FTP or from Server
FTP no success. Path is ok and checked but the file couldn't be read
Server, not able to set the right path. Example home/sites/http://divestore24.ch/public_html/imp_exp/import

Any hints to these issues

In template setting, did you try with "Test FTP" and "Test path" buttons for testing the connection? Can you share what you see in there?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Tharuna,
struggeling with the FTP. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Couldn't say what the reason is. Evem the Test FTP say it is ok then it works for a while and then it's stopping and not working anymore.
I've established two external FTP host for the testing and it is the same for both.

1. Test on Port 5544

undefined
FTP connection is successful

FTP connection could not be established. Error: JFTP: :connect: Die Verbindung zum Host „login-14.loginserver.ch“ am Port „5544“ ist fehlgeschlagen

2. Test on Port 21

undefined
FTP connection is successful

undefined
FTP connection could not be established. Error: JFTP: :connect: Die Verbindung zum Host „login-14.loginserver.ch“ am Port „21“ ist fehlgeschlagen

3. Test on Port 21

undefined
FTP connection is successful

undefined
FTP connection could not be established. Error: JFTP: :connect:...........

I've tried then the solution "load from server" with the path. I'm not able to set the right path in the field ... always ...

undefined
The given path cannot be found.

Is it necessary to add a .htacces file into this folder on the server? Even the path what is given as standard is not working

My idea is the following

1. Excel file for the preparation of the products, categories, manufacturers data etc. -> done after some nights. Loading is working with 300products etc. 8 files in two languages
2. Export wit macro to .csv in UTF-8 without BOM -> Working on it
3. Upload with FTP to a Server path -> with ftp client or command script
4. Loading the files in cvsi from the server path or ftp folder -> struggeling and the moment
5. Run 3 times a day with cron -> struggeling at the moment

Hello Reto,

FTP issues are a bit of a pain ;)

Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
This I don't like as it is not consistent. The good thing is that it tells us something is happening with the FTP server itself. Joomla requires the FTP server to use passive mode, please check if the server supports passive mode.

The word undefined that you see at the top, this is not related to your issue, just CSVI is missing a language string there.

As for the failure attempts, if you take a look at the FTP log it should tell you what the error is. Let me know what you find there.

I've tried then the solution "load from server" with the path. I'm not able to set the right path in the field ... always ...
This needs the absolute complete path to the file, not just a relative path. If you are not sure what this absolute path is, you can check the About page in CSVI, it will have the absolute path there to a few folders, so you can use that as a guide. It should be something like /home/username/public_html/... along those lines.

Run 3 times a day with cron -> struggeling at the moment
Please start a new topic for this with the exact issues you are having.
Kind regards,

RolandD
