Hi,

I have worked with csvi pro for many years but now I have the following problem.

When uploading through csv I see the path to the image is wrong. It takes the path in the template (images/stories/virtuemart/products)
and takes the csv file_url path and put them as one link so it becommes: images/stories/virtuemart/product/IMAGE/FOTOS/picture.jpg

When I place the folder with pics into images/stories/virtuemart/products/ IMAGES/FOTOS

It will store the product image link correctly but does not process the image to images/stories/virtuemart/product/ and /rezise

In my template I have enabled the "process image"

I have the latest version with all the proper plugins csvi pro 6.6.4 / joomla 3.6
Please advise.

If you have your own custom path for images, you need to define that in "Location product files" on Image tab in your template settings. By default CSVI takes the path 'images/stories/virtuemart/product/' which is the path used by VirtueMart.

When I place the folder with pics into images/stories/virtuemart/products/ IMAGES/FOTOS

It will store the product image link correctly but does not process the image to images/stories/virtuemart/product/ and /rezise

CSVI will process the images and its path as said in template settings. Since the images are placed in images/stories/virtuemart/products/IMAGES/FOTOS folder, it stores the file_url with given path and the thumb would be images/stories/virtuemart/products/IMAGES/FOTOS/resized. There is no process to move the images from your custom path to images/stories/virtuemart/product/ and /rezise. If you want to use images/stories/virtuemart/product/ path for images, upload your images to images/stories/virtuemart/product folder and just give the image name to file_url value. That way CSVI will process file_url value as images/stories/virtuemart/product/picture.jpg and the corresponding thumb image is also generated like images/stories/virtuemart/product/resized/picture.jpg. Hope this is clear.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thank you for the quick response

Little question . I thought when I put the original files into the image folder, csvi takes the image from file_url and copies them to images/stories/virtuemart/product/

Is this because of an update?

What happen when I have an external source example: file_url : http://domain.com/fotos/image.jpg
That used to work.

thanks

Hello Eric,

You can keep your own path in your CSV file by setting the Image location to ./ this will turn your path into ./IMAGE/FOTOS/picture.jpg which is the same as IMAGE/FOTOS/picture.jpg.

copies them to images/stories/virtuemart/product/

Is this because of an update?
That happens only when you have a remote image and in your template set the Save images on server option to Yes. Local images are kept in the place where they are as you may not want to use the VirtueMart location.
Kind regards,
