Joomla 3.5.1
Virtuemart 3.0.16
CSVI Pro 6.5.7
Custom Filters 2.3.2
Product Builder 3.0.8
Stockable Custom Fields 1.4.6

G'day, I've got a question regarding importing Custom Fields, Custom Filters, Stockable Custom Fields to work with my VM Shop and Product Builder.
I'm using CSVI Pro to import my products, categories, images, thumbs etc. from my Excel file which works absolutely perfect!
But... I'm confused because of all the different extensions and don't know how to import what I've got now and what I'm using now (in like what CSVI extension do I use or do I use a combination of "Custom Filters For All", "Custom Filters", "Stockable Custom Fields" and just the normal "CSVI for VM"?)

I will describe what I'm using below:

1) VM Shop where I create Custom Fields (strings) ie. "Color", "Size", "Speed"
2) VM > Custom Fields where I also create a Stockable Custom Field which contains the strings "Color", "Size", "Speed"
This Stockable Custom Field also has "Cart Attribute" and "Cart Input" set to "yes" to display them in the Product Builder software which also works fine
3) Then I create a new product with Stockable Custom Fields ie. "Corsair Memory Dual Kits"
The Stockable Custom Fields contain all variations of the new product and links to an EXISTING product in my VM, so for example "Red", "8GB', "2133MHz" links to product SKU 15123 which then becomes a child product automatically (which is fine). (So let's say I use red, black, 8GB and 16GB all with 2133MHz which gives me 4 variations and 4 links to existing VM (child) products).
4) It also automatically assigns the strings to my (child)products by performing step 3, I do however tick the "disable derived custom fields for child product" in VM > Products to not show all the dropdown menus in my products browse view in my VM shop.
5) So in Joomla > Components> VM Custom Filters Pro: The filters "Color", "Size", "Speed" are enabled which gives me tickboxes in my VM Shop which is also what I want.

So I've got my VM Shop with Custom Filters AND Product Builder with Stockable Custom Filters all working fine this way but now I'd like to start mass creating these filters, fields, variations, options(disable derived) etc in my Excel files to import as well with CSVI Pro and that's where I'm lost and don't know anymore which extension to use and where to start or do I need a combination of extensions...?

Best regards, Ray

Update:
I played around again all day today and got some positive results but still need help how to import my Stockable Custom Field variants including existing derived products per variant to use in Product Builder.

What I did so far:
1) CSVI > Import VM Custom Fields (title, type, cart att., cart input, desc, default value, is list, additional parameters)
2) CSVI > Import Products and Categories, including additional fields (see below)
Contains additional fields (in addition to product import): custom title, custom value, custom multiple
The above gave me:
- The actual Custom Fields in VM > Custom Fields
- published Custom Fields in Components > VM Custom Filters Pro

So for the Stockable Custom Fields I have to add a row with type: "E" (plugin) at step 1 and enable cart attribute and input.
This creates the Custom Field however I can't get all the variants in there with their assigned derived products (existing SKU's) and name the custom fields per variant.
In my case I did get 4 variants (custom_multiple: Y~Y~Y~Y) in the product Custom Field tab but what needs importing too is:
- Values for the strings per variant (I will have about 30 variants for this product coming from: Memory Channel, Speed, size and Color)
- Set a derived product per variant via import (existing or new, existing in my case)
I also managed to set parent SKU's per child product which will be part of this process but that's as far as I got...

Of course I've checked the Import manuals you've created which are great in general but in this case I can't seem to find what I'm looking for...

Thanks in advance!!

Hello Ray,
It would be great if you can attach a sample of import file and debug log of the import so we know what you are trying to import and how CSVI has processed it.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Ray,

Thank you for your elaborate stories :) Let me start by saying that Product Builder is not yet supported by CSVI. So any data that needs to be stored in the Product Builder tables is not happening. My guess is what you are looking for to happen isn't happening due to this. As Tharuna asked, if you can supply a sample file that would be helpful. If possible can you post also some screenshots of how it is supposed to look? I am actually working on adding Product Builder support into CSVI for the next release. I guess this is the perfect opportunity to make this happen.
Kind regards,

RolandD

That is so good to hear, can't wait for the next release! Also to import all the tags I gave to my products in Product Builder for the "compatibility function" to work.
For now it works ok, I can import all my custom filters to work in my VM Shop.
The Custom Filters related to Product Builder (stockable Custom Filters) I just enter manually for the time being...

Attached a screenshot of the pc builder with some Stockable custom filters in it.
Attached also a screenshot of the VM Product Custom Fields config using the Stockable Custom Filters plugin.
I've also attached my normal Products & categories excel file (edit: attached it as an image as it didn't wanna upload my xlsx file) which also imports the 2 Product Builder products along with all the child products as the Stockable custom Filters plugin creates child products when you select an existing product in the "select derived product" area.
So in the excel the columns I till J (multi_variant_title, multi_variant_fields_Channel,Speed) are for testing only regarding the field variants that I can't get to work and import, the lines 603 till 653 are the 2 test products to test the product builder with along with the child products they should contain as "derived products".

So yes what I'm trying to achieve is to import all the fields per variant, see screenshot (in my case only for the group "Memory" that'll be about 50 variants what I'm doing manually now)

Sorry it became quite a story again but I hope it's clear what I'm trying to achieve :)
I also hope it's a bit clearer now with the attached screenshots, I left the debug one as I found it's not giving us any relevant information yet.

Best regards, Ray

Hello Ray,

I've also attached my normal Products & categories excel file (edit: attached it as an image as it didn't wanna upload my xlsx file)
Could you email me the file please?

Sorry it became quite a story again but I hope it's clear what I'm trying to achieve :)
I think I have a good idea but let's see :)

Once I have something ready I will let you know.
Kind regards,
