Hi
I am trying to create an export template of Hikashop Orders for specific product variants.
On trying to select the product variants I want to measure none are available in the 'order product' section of the template.
Can you suggest how I can make the product variants visible? All product variants are published.
Kind regards
Mike

Hello Mike,
Can you suggest how I can make the product variants visible?

I am a little bit confused on your question. When I search for a product I can see variants listed in Order Product field. See attached screenshot. So May I know the issue?

Hi Tharuna
Thank you for your attention.
I wasn't specific enough - sorry!
The product variants you can see are all from last year and bizarrely are all unpublished.
The ones I am seeking to add are the ones in my screenshot.
Kind regards
Mike

Hello Mike,
Ok I see the issue you are saying. We don't have any condition in search for product variants so not sure why those products don't show up. I wanted to check the code which gets the variants in Order product field but the FTP details posted does not work and says Could not connect to server. Can you please check that?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Mike,
Thank you for the details. FTP worked. Actually we do have a condition in filtering the products. The condition is that there should be orders with those products. I did a search on your site with the products from screenshot and don't see any orders. That should be the reason those specific products don't show in Order product filter.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Dear Tharuna
Thank you for your answer.
Is it possible to remove the condition of the products requiring orders before being selected?
The logic of your filtering condition is that I must constantly adjust the report as orders for different variants are received, which seems very odd, time-consuming, and inefficient.
An alternative would be to condition the report by order date and category (6Nations) but I do not seem to be able to select the category - am I missing something really obvious here?
Many thanks
Mike

Hello Mike,

The logic behind this feature is that we export products which are ordered. It does not make any sense in having a product as filter which has no order as we know that export will get no rows.

Like Order product filter category filter has same logic. Categories of products which are ordered are shown in export Category filter. But you can export by using Order date.

Tharuna

Thank You Tharuna
I understand why it works the way it does; I am trying to use it as a quick way for my client to check orders placed; the Hikashop tools are clunky; I'll have to look for something else.
Kind regards
Mike

Hello Mike,

If you want to see if a product has been ordered or not you could create a front-end export in HTML format or the order export with just the product name for example. This way you can create a URL only accessible to your customer. He can search the page with the Find function of the browser.

Just an idea :D
Kind regards,
