Resolved Custom Import State defaulting to Unpublished

HI,
Okay, you asked me to use the forum, here goes.

I have a custom import that is working, but when I add new rows to the database they default to a state of unpublished even though:

1. state is in the import file with a value of 1
*ordering*|*state*|*checked_out*|*checked_out_time*|*created_by*
*1*|*1*|*0*|*0000-00-00 00:00:00*|*596*


2. I set the default value in the field list in the template.

* VirtueMart version => NA
* CSVI version = 5.19
* Sample of the file being imported = in zip file
* Collected debug information = in zip file

I tried to move it, but the editor won't let me. ;-P

Thanks for the complete information, it is very helpful.

I see how you have setup everything and this looks good to me. The problem with the state field is that the name state is protected by Joomla. That is why it cannot be used directly. Attached is a patch file which you can load, after that the state field should import. See the document How to load a patch file on how to load it.

Thank you. I loaded the patch. Very easy process by the way. And got a successful import with the new records being published.
