Hi Roland!

Well I have followed the tutorial, created a template, the fields and so forth. Unfortunatly i recieve no response from Server, locally and online. No csv is produced.

I have attached my settings,

Ps
This is to import in Hika Shop, will the categories be set up?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

First thing to do is update your Joomla version :)

Second is to check the database connection. Go to System -> Global configuration -> Server -> Database type, this must be set to MySQLi.

Third thing to check is the tables. In your debug log I see you have set the language to German so it uses the de_de tables but it might be that the data is stored in the English tables. Do the de_de tables exist and is there any data in them?

This is to import in Hika Shop, will the categories be set up?
You will need to use the category_path field to export the current category and this field can be used for import in HikaShop.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello Olivier,

Joomla 3.4.6 is not too low for CSVI but for your own safety ;)

If the data is stored in the German tables, we will have to take a closer look as to why the query isn't working.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi again,
Yes i checked the database and all products are definately in the German tables.
The 3.4.7 0r 3.4.8 Updates give us problems, thats why we are abondoning the site and will rebuild with Hika Shop.
I have checked my settings again confronti the demo and tutorials.

What could i further try?

Thanks

Hello Oliver,

Can you backup your template and post it here? I will run it and see what happens.

You can backup your template from the Maintenance page under CSVI Pro -> Backup templates.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello Wolfram,

So the template has given some insight. For one, I see that you are filtering on the Custom Field Title field. Is that intentional or by accident?

The other thing I see is that you are filtering on published categories only. Now, CSVI tries to retrieve the published categories but that I don't see in your original debug log, so it may as well be that it has an issue there. See if you set the category state filter to All, if the export runs in that case.

The less filters there are, the higher the possibility something will come out.

Finally, it will be good to ask your hosting provider if they see any errors in the logs because you are triggering an error somewhere that causes the server to stop CSVI from exporting.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi again,
Well I changed the filters but still the same. I noticed that the "Time Out" also happens and doesnt export on a Mamp installed Version. Does that rule out the Server problems?

Hello,

Does that rule out the Server problems?
Not really because a local installation like Mamp is usually not configured as well as a server is. The only advantage using Mamp is you can increase the maximum execution time. This way you give more time to the process to finish before it get's killed.

What you can do on the server is set a limit on how many records are being exported. On the File tab set the From record to 1 and the To record to 10. See if you get a file with 10 records.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Thanks, but do i set that in CSV or MAMP? Would it be possible that you quickly check the Backend to not lose time. I bought the Tool because I thought it would help quicken things up and now I may have to reinsert the Products.

Let me know,

That is in CSVI, edit your export template and there will be a tab called File where you can set these values.

It will save time but CSVI can't fix servers ;)

Did you ever ask your hoster about why the server kills CSVI?

I don't mind taking a look at the backend but I don't see what I can do. The reason I ask for using the limit on the number of exported products, if that works, you could export the products in batches.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello Wolfram,

So I have taken a look at the backend, tried the export with a copy of your template. Even with 2 fields and filter for 1 product, there is no export.

It is not exporting as there is never any feedback received from the server. So something is happening at the server that stops the export.

I have left the copy template, so you can use it for testing.

As for your template, you have set the export to XML but not provided an XML Layout, this means nothing will ever show up in the export file. If you are going to use XML, you must provide the XML layout.
Kind regards,

RolandD
