Hi, I just bought the CSVI Pro 6.1.0 and installed it on a test joomla/virtuemart. (VirtueMart 3.0.8, Joomla! 3.4.3)
I uploaded the templates and managed to export a file. I see 10 records were processed, but when I open the CSV file it is empty. I switched the language into Dutch and English and none of them works? Any thoughts please?
Thanks, Jo

Hello Jo,

Please post the debug log as requested at the top of this page so I can see what happens on your export. Perhaps you can check if any filters are applied.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland, thanks for the quick reply.
Enclosed the logfile, as well as the version of my software.
I did the export without any filters, just to try how it works. I used the standard template I uploaded.

During the install of CSVI, the only message I got was this one, the rest was ok.
Warning
JFolder: :delete: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/jodelait/domains/http://jodela-it.be/public_html/pascaline/administrator/components/com_csvi/sql

Thanks, Jo

Hello Jo,

The warning message you received during install is OK, you can ignore this.

As for the export, it seems to run just fine. There is nothing out of the ordinary in the log. Running a VirtueMart category export there is no problem either here. The only thing I can think of that it has a problem writing to the file. Do you get an empty file for the product export as well?

If yes, can you run the category export and set the export to Save on server and specify another path to where the file must be stored. Just to see if something is written to the file.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland,
I tried to export also Joomla content and have the same issue. (File created, but empty)
Is there any change you can have a look at the back-end of the site to see what the issue is?
Can I send you login in a private message?

Or can I call you maybe, I guess you operate from the Netherlands, or am I wrong?
(BTW, also considering buying the JD ideal solution)

Thanks in advance.

Hello Jo,

It is not a CSVI issue but a permission issue on the server. CSVI needs write access to the tmp/com_csvi/export folder. You will have to look into that.

I do operate from the Netherlands but currently on the road for Joomla. However you can contact me via Skype user csvimproved.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland,
I have changed the directory permissions to 777 to be 100% sure and tried again, but remains empty.
I also had the support desk from the hosting company who looked at it and they think it's ok.
Maybe I'm missing some setup? Do I have to define this directory somewhere in the setup? If yes, where should I do this?

thanks, Jo

Hello Jo,

I have another idea, go to System -> Global configuration -> Server and check that the database type is set to MySQLi. This is required for the export to work.
Kind regards,

RolandD

HI Roland, I checked it and it is MySQLi.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong in the CSVI settings?
What do I need to fill in the tab "settings"? I tried leaving the SITE empty + filled in also URL from the site.
or something else?
Any chance you can try it yourself? I can send you login details if you want.
thanks, Jo

Hi Ronald,
I found the issue. On the fields stab, all fields were set as disabled.
As I loaded the standard templates, I wasn't aware these had to be enabled manually
Some things were still not ok, but I re-installed everything and export seems to be working fine now.

Thanks, Jo

Hello Jo,

I will tell you I was about to ask if you published the template fields because yesterday I was having the same issue as you. My export file was always empty, so I looked and looked and thought if I fix this I can tell Jo ;) It turned out to be the template fields. I have added this possibility to the Troubleshooting export errors page.
Kind regards,

RolandD
