Resolved country_name

Hi Roland

We have been looking at the database of vm orders but the field "country_name" we have a doubt.

Does it reflect the country of the bill to or ship to.


What we pretend to export is the "country_name" of the ship to or the country code 2.

Currently the country name is exported correctly but we dont know if is the bill to or ship to information reflected since is not clear how this is stored in the database.

Hello,

Does it reflect the country of the bill to or ship to.
That depends on the order line you are looking at. If it is a BT line it is billing, if it is an ST line it is shipping. It also depends which field you are exporting, the country_name should be the billing country and the shipping_country_name should be the shipping address.

I can't find the shipping_country_name I only have this fields for country:

country_2_code
country_3_code
country_name
virtuemart_country_id

I updated the available fields but no shipping_country_name in the export of orders.

Hello,

In that case you are using another export type I was thinking of. The country name is based on what you have set in your template options for Order address type. Check the help text for an explanation of this field. Based on this setting the corresponding country name is exported. This is still based on the BT or ST address you have chosen to export.
