Hi Roland,

we are using CSVI Pro 6.5.4 and Custom Fields for All by breakdesign. We made all steps for creating a custom field with type plugin and we have prepared a table for CSVI import (attached) following your documentation. But we have one major problem:
If values in Custom Field that we made in "Additional Parameters" are not previously set, when we import the csv file, products do not take the value for the field. And my question is, because we have 1000 values for this field (Lumens Range) - how we can set them first in Custom Fields addition parameters, before executing the import with CSVI? I can not put them by hand, is there another way?

Best regards,
Hrissy

In other words: I have understand that values in p[roducts for this field will appear only if I have previous set values in the field option Additional Parameters. So how can I import them first here:

Hello,
Your import file is wrong, there is a space after custom_title. You can set multiple values with # and if there are no values already created, CSVI will create them during import. Try import correcting your CSV file. If you still have issues, post the debug log of the import and your corrected import file.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi and thank you for the answer. The space after custom_title was removed, and I tried again, but still products do not get values for this field. How to prepare the csv file IF we do not have values for the fields, what in column custom_value has to be written? Where to put these # you are talking about? Can you give me an example file, based on my file?

I wont be able to help here till i see your debug log of the import. Check the section on top of this page "Where to get the debug information?" on how to get the debug log.

Read the section under "Multiple Parameters" In Importing custom fields for all document to know how you can import multiple values.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

And here on the forntend of the site the field called Lumen is visible, as you can see, BUT there is no value. But according to the csv table, there should be 2400. You can see the backend for this product too.

Hello,
Testing your file, everything works good but your debug log shows there some issue in your import. One thing you can try is clean the table #__virtuemart_product_custom_plg_customsforall using phpmyadmin and try import again. If you still see the issue, Can you provide me your database and administrator login details?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Ok I will try this, but I want to ask: did you first set values for custom field, that will be imported, and then made the import or you only create the field with type Plugin and Custom FIelds For all is this plugin, without setting the values for it?

Hello,
I didnot set any values, i only create the field with type Plugin and Custom FIelds For all is this plugin. CSVI will create values if they are not present already.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

No, it still does not work: the field is added like a filed in the frontend and in the backend, BUT it does not take a value, unless you do not set the values before you make the import with the table, but as I said before, I cannot add this values to the field, because they are so many, and then the importing with CSV does not make sense anymore.

Kind regards,

Tharuna

Ok, i couldn't get much help from the log. Can you send the database dump of your localhost to my email? If yes, please send it to tharuna@csvimproved.com.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
