rolandd.com has moved to a new platform. The site now runs on Joomla 6, and the shop, the account pages and the support forum have been rebuilt from the ground up. The look is familiar, but almost everything behind it is new. Here is what changed for you.
Log in with your email address
You now log in with your email address instead of a username. Your existing account and password still work, just use the email address you registered with. In case you are not sure, you can still login with your username as well.
- Passkeys: log in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN instead of a password. You can add a passkey under My Account.
- Multi-factor authentication: protect your account with an authenticator app and backup codes. You set it up under My Account as well.
- Registration and password reset are simpler: no username to choose, and fewer fields to fill in.
A new account area
My Account, My Profile, My Subscriptions, My Downloads and My Invoices now share one layout. A header shows who is logged in, and an account menu stays in view so you can move between the pages quickly.
- My Account groups your login details, preferences, passkeys and multi-factor authentication in sections you can open and close, with a badge that shows whether multi-factor authentication is on.
- My Profile holds your billing details. A VAT number is checked against VIES when you save it.
- My Subscriptions lists your active subscriptions first, sorted by expiry date.
- Download IDs have a card of their own. Copy an ID with one click, give each ID a label so you know which site uses it, add a new ID or revoke one you no longer need.
- My Downloads shows one section per product, with a version selector that defaults to the latest release and the release notes one click away.
- My Invoices lists your invoices in the same account area.
Shop and checkout
The product pages, cart and checkout have moved to the new subscription system. After paying, the order confirmation page shows your order, the payment method and links to your downloads and subscriptions. If the payment provider cannot be reached during checkout, your order goes back in the cart, so you don't have to start over.
The support forum is renewed
The forum has been replaced by our very own forum, a support system built for this site. The existing topics have moved over, and old forum links redirect to their new location.
- Suggestions while you type: when you start a new topic, the forum looks for similar topics and documentation articles that may already answer your question.
- Follow topics: follow a topic to receive an email when someone replies, and unfollow it again with one click.
- Private topics: a private topic can only be seen by you and our support staff. Use it when you need to share site details.
- Resolved topics: mark a topic as resolved once your question is answered, so others with the same problem can find the solution.
- My topics: all the topics you started, in one place.
- Avatar and signature: set your avatar and forum signature on your account page.
- Preview your post: you can now preview your post before sending it
- Markdown: you can now also write your messages in Markdown to better format your message
Better search
The search in the header now covers the documentation and the support forum. Results are grouped by type, show a snippet around your search term and link to all results of that type. If you misspell a word, the search suggests what you might have meant.
Documentation
The documentation pages show the products as cards, and the documentation sections within a product, such as the RSForm! Pro integration for RO Payments, are shown the same way. That makes it easier to find the right guide.
Updates keep working
The update addresses your Joomla sites use to check for new versions of our extensions have not changed, so updates keep arriving as before. Make sure your download ID is filled in.
