RO CSVI 9.4.0 release
Let's start by wishing you all a happy, fun, successful, and above all a healthy 2026. With the holidays well behind us it is time to get back to work and we have done so. We are starting this new year with a new release. This release features a good mix of changes.
Global rules
Whenever a backup is made of a template the settings, fields, and rules are included. However the global rules were not part of the backup yet. The global rules are now also included in the backup and will be restored as well. The works the same way as existing rules, if a rule exists it is linked otherwise a rule is created and the new rule is linked to the template.
Stockable Custom Fields
Users who import Stockable Custom Fields in multiple runs will run into some problems because RO CSVI cleans up unused parent rows however they may be needed in a future import. As of this release RO CSVI no longer cleans up parent rows automatically, however they can now be cleaned up via the Maintenance menu.
Custom Fields for All
In relation to the stockable custom fields, the Custom Fields for All sees some updates as well. On export a field would not get any value, that has been fixed and the custom fields for all fields also get their values on export.
XLSX export
We were notified that the alignment of cell content did not work correctly when using the XLSX format. This turned out to be that the content was always right aligned, however when the alignment was fixed, everything was aligned center style. 🤭. That is also not something we would want. The reason for this is that we had set the default alignment to center. In this release the default alignment has been changed to general. This means that text is aligned left and numbers are aligned right. This is up to the spreadsheet program to decide what to do with it.
VirtueMart
This release the VirtueMart addon has seen some changes as well. The product and price export now have a currency filter so you can select which prices should be exported. This is especially useful for those who wish to export only prices in selected currencies instead of all prices.
The product export has been changed to export the number of images set in the template for parent images if the child product has no images instead of just one image.
Notable changes
- PhocaCart Product import will automatically create tags if you are importing non-existing tags
- Custom fields of the type Text is no longer using the item separator as set in the template as this is not a multiple value field
