RO CSVI 9.10.0 release
Our monthly release is here again. The RO CSVI 9.10.0 release is a small release but with some small fixes and a two big features. This release adds full support for J2Commerce 6 and a new option to update based on custom fields.
J2Commerce 6
The release of J2Commerce 6 marked the major release of a native Joomla 6 version of J2Commerce and shakes off the J2Store legacy. This change also came with a change in their database schema. This had the effect that we had to choose what to do. One addon for both or a new addon for J2Commerce. The latter has been decided. RO CSVI now ships with 2 addons, J2Store and J2Commerce. The J2Store addon is for J2Store and all J2Commerce versions before version 6. The J2Commrce addon is only for J2Commerce 6 and up.
Since the release of J2Commerce 6 we have also decided we are no longer developing the J2Store addon because it is superseded by J2Commerce. We are still going to ship this addon for the forseeable future so you can still import/export your data in these installations.
Update based on
A long requested feature has seen its completion. That is the possibility to update records based on a custom field instead of either an ID or a set of fields required by RO CSVI. This does require that you use unique names. If there are any fields with the same name belonging to different groups, RO CSVI won't be able to handle that yet. This feature is available for:
- Joomla Categories
- Joomla Contacts
- Joomla Content
- PhocaCart Products

Run your template
The Template Fields page now also has a Run button so you can run your template directly from the template fields page, no longer needed to go back to the Templates page.
