RO CSVI 8.19.0 release
This release we have focused on 2 areas, XLSX export and J2Commerce support. To start with J2Commerce, we have a few things in the pipeline and the first thing to come out is support for the import and export of Bundled products. As for the XSLX export, we have added a number of options to style your spreadsheet.
XLSX support
The XLSX support has seen some nice improvements to manage the styling of your spreadsheet on export. These improvements include:
- Add custom text
- Add a footer
- Add a logo
- Formula in template fields
The formula option in template fields is basic but it is a start we believe that can be useful for you. For example you can add add fields or multiply fields like =A1+B1. On export RO CSVI will change the 1 to 2, to 3, to 4, and so on with every row that is exported.
J2Commerce (Formerly J2Store)
As J2Commerce is working hard on migrating J2Store to the new J2Commerce Joomla native extension, we are taking the time to add more support for this extension. We have supported J2Store for years already but development had slowed down, interest had slowed down so our efforts slowed down. Now that new life has blown into this extension we are more than happy to improve the support for imports and exports. This release sees the first changes and that is the addition of bundled products to the variants import and export. More features will follow in the coming months, so keep an eye out for those.
Google Sheets
We have added an option where you can implement a delay before attempting to import a Google Sheet. Why so? This is needed if you have a sheet with many formulas that can take time to compute. Without the wait you would see a message like Data processing... or something of that nature instead of the real value.
Notable changes
This release has a number of changes across the board that are notable:
- A hint is shown when you run an export of where you can go and find information on how to deal with duplicate rows in your export file, this can be configured in the global settings
