Hello,
The sub category is created as separate because of related_categories field and not because of category_path. If there is a related_categories field in import file CSVI will process this field categories, treat them as a individual new category and insert it into the database. If you don't want these category to be inserted then you need to change the related_categories header name to combine and edit your rule 'Combina categorie' to set Source fields to be category_path,combine. This way the column header matches with the new combine field. After this change try doing the import and don't forget to clean the database before you do a fresh import so all the old entries will be deleted.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

so the image is in the format http:namephoto.jpg and is on a external server.
I use in the Template Fields the picture_url and add in the column of the photo the relative picture_url
but the component doesn't import the photo.
So i ask u for this how i can solve?
Wailting for your reply
Thanks in advance

Hello,
so the image is in the format http:namephoto.jpg and is on a external server.

Is this the format of your image URL? this looks weird or is it just an example?

I use in the Template Fields the picture_url and add in the column of the photo the relative picture_url

You need to use field file_url instead of picture_url and do the import. If you have any issues post the debug log and sample import file to check.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
In your template settings on Images tab you have set Update media link only to Yes, this will check if there is an entry for the image in media table and link it with product and wont do any processing to the image. You need to set this to No and then do the import. If any issue post the debug log of the latest import to check.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
The debug log shows that the big image has been processed but not the thumb nail image. See the below log for file_url and file_url_thumb fields. One thing you can try is in your template settings on Images tab, set Re-download image to Yes and try the import. See if thumb images are processed after that.

UPDATE `jos_virtuemart_medias` SET `virtuemart_vendor_id`='1',`file_title`='',`file_description`='',`file_meta`='',`file_class`='',`file_mimetype`='image/jpeg',`file_type`='product',`file_url`='images/stories/virtuemart/product/178727.jpg',`file_url_thumb`='',`file_is_product_image`='1',`file_is_downloadable`='0',`file_is_forSale`='0',`file_params`='',`file_lang`='',`shared`='0',`published`='1',`created_on`='0000-00-00 00:00:00',`created_by`='0',`modified_on`='0000-00-00 00:00:00',`modified_by`='0',`locked_on`='0000-00-00 00:00:00',`locked_by`='0' WHERE `virtuemart_media_id`='117'
Kind regards,

Hello,
Your debug log still says that "Thumnail has not been created because the image cannot be converted". In your template settings on images tab you have set the Resize large image to yes but there is no width or height set for resizing. What if you set resize large image field to No? Can you try to import with only one row in your import file and see what happens?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
Your image settings looks good. With your import file i was able to download the image and the thumbnail in my local test site so this has something to do with your server settings. Can you again send me the last debug log?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
Again the same error in your debug log "Thumnail has not been created because the image cannot be converted", i doubt if GD library and JPEG library are enabled on your server. Can you check with your hosting provider on this? You can explain the issue and tell them the function to create thumbnail is failing when functions from these libraries are called.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
You can post us your system log file from your administrator view by going to System -> System Information -> Download as text so we can check on your GD and JPEG library settings.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
Yes the GD and JPEG library are enabled as per the link you have posted. This is really weird that the function breaks when calling these libraries. I need to look this on your site directly by checking in CSVI files. Can you send me your site administrator access and ftp access? I will see what is breaking the thumbnail generation on your site.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
Checking into your site i found that the big images has been created but not actually downloaded, the file size is 0 for these images. This explains why there was an error with thumbnail creation. The same import file works perfect for me and i was able to download all images on to my local server. You need to check if your ip has been blocked on the server you are downloading images from. This can happen because of too many request sent from your server.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
