No password/UserName message

hi

I setup the mailbox as it is in my system config without SMTP authentication but when i go to Bounce Emails I get

"There is no username specified for the bounce mailbox in the global configuration."

Hello,

To access an email box you are going to need a username and password. This is not for sending emails but for reading emails. So let's say you access the bounce email via webmail, you are going to need a username and password as well. That is the username and password you need to fill in the configuration.

why do i need to access this emails? i thought they are just notfying users so i used the same This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. that my system uses

Hello,

I think there is a misunderstanding. The emails that RCP User Manager sends out are using the Joomla mail settings. Whenever you send out an email it could be that the email bounces (is returned to you). RCP User Manager can read this bounce email and decide if the user should be deleted because the mailbox doesn't exist anymore for example. So RCP User Manager only reads the bounce emailbox. To be able to read this emailbox it needs the username and password.
